Trade Secrets

Trade Secrets are those aspects of intellectual property which are not publicly registered or published. A trade secret is a formula, process, or compilation of information that is not generally known and its secrecy affords the owner an advantage over competitors.

Examples include formulas like Coca-Cola's recipe and WD-40’s formula.  Trade secrets include compilations such as customer lists, and methods like unique manufacturing processes or marketing strategies. Unlike patents, copyrights, or trademarks, trade secrets are safeguarded by limiting access and implementing protective measures.

Lee Anne LeBlanc has succeeded in establishing clients’ rights to trade secret protection and obtaining legal relief following misappropriation.
